Commercial Jobs - June 2022

As a family owned and operated business, Coverings Sunshine Coast is keenly aware of how important a functional and stylish commercial space is in helping an enterprise thrive. One of the team’s favourite part of the job is helping to set up small businesses on the Sunshine Coast in a way which not only encourages that all important foot traffic through the door, but does so in a friendly and timely manner, and on budget. From umbrellas outside vibey cafes to elegant sheers which frame the cutting edge of botanical design, the team at Coverings Sunshine Coast loves it all, especially for our local businesses!

Over the past few months we’ve been privileged to work with the following Sunshine Coast businesses, helping bring their ideas and designs to life:

La Bouquet Florist Noosa

Set in the elegant Noosa Pavilion, La Bouquet required a window shopfront which spoke to the elegance of their flora and Francophile brand while complementing the communal commercial space. The result? Avant Garde black sheers installed on custom designed tracks.

Gusto Riverfront Restaurant

Being tasked with the installation of new flooring in one of Noosa’s most iconic restaurants wasn’t daunting at all! Not. Gusto is a premier eating house on the Noosa River, which required hard working yet stylish flooring in high traffic areas also prone to water spillage. The Coverings team installed the durable and beautiful Karndean looselay planks to continue the French aesthetic throughout this fabulous restaurant.

Suter Smith Cleine Real Estate

An office installation with a difference, a chic coastal style was needed here to impart the sense of comfort associated with the home, yet with an added layer of expert professionalism. Suter Smith Cleine opted for the luxurious look and feel of Pallas French Oak Hybrid Ultimate planks in a wide and long style, reminiscent of large open spaces. As a commercial premises, Coverings also installed high quality carpet tiles to ensure the hard wearing effects of office chairs and high foot traffic were countered. Long flowing sheer curtains in a linen style added to the fluidity of the coastal design while softening the ‘office’ look overall.

Trattoria Benati

As a newcomer to the Noosa Junction dining scene, Trattoria Benati required flooring that would not only be hardwearing, but promote the feeling of being in a high quality restaurant in the middle of Italy. Coverings was tasked with replacing the flooring, and began by grinding the original cement slab clean prior to install. We then installed coloured weld rods and cove flooring, where the vinyl up is curved up the wall. In the kitchen, commercial vinyl flooring was installed to cope with spillage, high heat and foot traffic, while the durable Polysafe Verona in mocha helped imbue a more rustic vibe to the dining area. The Coverings team also established a diminishing strip between the two differing vinyl types for a seamless transition between the front and back of house.
