What are Panel Glide Blinds?

No longer the domain of university students everywhere trying to create privacy on the cheap from big yellow and blue warehouses (if you get our drift), Panel Glide Blinds have become a contemporary and versatile covering solution for luxury homes right here on the Sunshine Coast.

What are Panel Glide Blinds?

They are a sophisticated variation of vertical blinds, and use wide fabric panels sliding across a multichannel track to create privacy and light control. The fabric panels have a weighted bottom bar to maintain their smooth appearance and control movement, while a wand brings the panels effortlessly back and forth.

Uses of Panel glide blinds.

They are perfect for those wanting to streamline the look of their internal spaces across large open spaces. With tracks running across the ceiling or internal fascia’s, panel glide blinds can be used on large windows, sliding doors, bi-fold doors, large glazed areas and as versatile room dividers. Their use in studio apartments to create ‘rooms within rooms’ imparts a greater sense of comfort and space, particularly in holiday accommodations.

Styling Panel Glide Blinds.

They can offer a much more individual style to window coverings. The larger panels create a sense of expansive space, something vertical blinds simply cannot. The beauty and versatility of panel glide blinds is also seen in the endless fabric colour options. Channel your inner Anna Spiro and splash loud fabulous colours across your windows, or streamline the look with natural and inobtrusive fabrics. Panel glide blinds also work beautifully as a more understated window covering or room divider than the ever-popular sheers, especially when other features of the space are designed to be hero elements.

Panel Glide Blinds and Coverings Sunshine Coast.

In a recent refurbishment of a penthouse in a Sunshine Beach holiday complex, a large studio room presented a problem for clients: how to create privacy but maintain the versatility of the space? Panel glide blinds were installed by the Coverings team, essentially cutting the room in two to separate the bedroom from the lounge. The result was a space which could be opened to the view, but when needed, create a cosier and more private bedroom space.

Available in two to seven panels and four stacking options: left, right, centre or split.
