There’s a topic of conversation which comes up again and again in the showroom and during installations with Coverings’ clients. As one of the most iconic destinations in Australia, it’s often an astonishing revelation, especially for those who’ve recently decided to make the Sunshine Coast their new home: everyone knows everyone! The fact is, our region is actually a pretty small place with a very tight community.
Will and Ali have lived on the Coast for decades, while the rest of our team are staunch Sunshine Coast residents. The team know the area, the people in it and have done so for years. It follows then, that making a difference beyond individual homes and commercial installations is an indelible aspect of this local family business.
Sponsorship of Local Sports.
Not only have we sponsored the Coolum Netball Associations Junior Rep side, they’ve committed to making life better for everyone taking to the courts in this strong sporting community. We recently installed new flooring in the Coolum Netball Canteen, a job proving our team is not afraid to get down and dirty when it comes to supporting our local community.
Sunshine Butterflies.
Sunshine Butterflies is a disability support service and charity located in nearby Cooroibah. This is an amazing local organisation which strives to improve the lives of those living with disability and their families on the Sunshine Coast. Supporting this service is deeply personal for Ali and Will, whose sister lives with disability. “Seeing what they do with and for the most vulnerable people in our community is incredible. We know they bring joy to our sister’s life, and that’s priceless,” says Ali. As such, we will alway be a devoted supporter of Sunshine Butterflies.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), more commonly known as the 65 Roses Foundation, is a national charity we is proud to support. The CFF is the world's leader in the search for a cure for CF and supports a broad range of research initiatives to tackle the disease from all angles.
Involvement in Local Sports.
From a large family in a small rural community, Will and Ali were brought up on the local tennis court, cricket and rugby pitch. They know intrinsically that sport is to communities what Coverings’ glue is to vinyl flooring installs: strong and durable. The Coverings team is involved in numerous local sports communities, from the Coolum Netball Association where Ali is on the committee, to the Noosa Festival of Surfing and the Noosa Dolphins Rugby Club.
