Few things give the Coverings team more pleasure than taking a rough diamond and cutting it into a world class star, something our latest Sunshine Beach Apartment refresh more than afforded. Here, our clients Mitch Collins Design wanted to refurbish the dated apartment into a timeless French Rivieria chic. With spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean fringed by the green Norfolk pines of Sunshine Beach, it was an absolute pleasure to help them bring the brief to life.

From the living and bedrooms, the clients required privacy and the ability to mute bright sunshine, without blocking the view. The Coverings team installed gorgeous S-Wave linen blend sheers from the outstanding Zepel range Allusion in Snow colour. This particular blend of linen, polyester and cotton is soft to the touch and hangs beautifully, creating a dreamy light filled space reminiscent of French summer romance.
Throughout the apartment, accents of black and natural wood offset the otherwise white colour palette. Oversized black rattan pendants in the kitchen add a touch of drama, while soft furnishings of royal blues in plush fabrics and supple linen impart a sense of opulence. With luxurious furnishings and a strong colour scheme, consulting on the perfect flooring to complement the overall feel of the apartment while considering the logistical effects of salt, water and sand underfoot, was crucial.
The Coverings team installed luxury 9 millimetre hybrid planks in French Oak from Pallas, a Queensland owned company supplying superlative flooring products.
The Ultimate Pallas range in the whites and greys of French Oak complemented the design and colour palette beautifully, but these luxury hybrid planks also represent considerable durability. Waterproof, sound deadening, with a commercial wear layer and luxurious underfoot, long beach days and hours in the onsite pool are relaxed and hassle free in this coastal haven.
